Growing up in San Pedro, California and only a mile from South Shores Pet Clinic, Dr. Wills Weimer has been a part of our practice since age 14. Dr. Wills’s veterinary career started when owners Dr. Mark Weimer and Christine Weimer had him cleaning kennels and walking dogs.
Dr. Wills graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He extended his time in the Midwest and received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota. While at Minnesota, Dr. Wills served as President of the Veterinary Business Management Association and was a member of the veterinary dentistry club. When not in the classroom, Dr. Wills competed on the University of Minnesota’s Ultimate Frisbee team Grey Duck and whipped up milkshakes while being a server at the Original Malt Shop in St. Paul. With the promises of snowless winters and employment in the family business, Dr. Wills returned to San Pedro to start as an associate veterinarian at South Shores Pet Clinic in 2022.
Outside the clinic, you can find Dr. Wills on the sand volleyball courts in Hermosa Beach, cheering on his beloved Michigan Wolverines and New York Giants, or biking on the boardwalk with his family and friends. With Dr. Wills’s commitment to veterinary excellence and modern perspectives on patient care and clinic management, we are grateful to have Dr. Wills as part of our family team.
